MOTSON TO APPROVE - PASSED UNANIMOIISLY - Suzanne I{nochan summarized
this by stating, that on January 15, 1991, the Board granted ,� �
Thunderbird Artists a temporary use permit to hold ar shows at the ; i
Buttermilk parking lot during the weekends of July 19 and 21st and -:i; ''.
August 2 and 4th. Consistent with the requirements of the land use � � �
k. code sign regulations, the permit limited the placement of onsite :.'��''�'
advertisement to one two-faced 6 square foot sing, setback a
minimum of 10 feet from the Highway 82 edge of the right oP way at
the entrance to the Butterntilk parking lot.
The purpose of this meeting today, is that Judy Combs, representing
Thunderbird Artists requests that the use permit conditions be `,�,a,.'
modified to allow for four six square foot signs. ONe sign would ' '
. be located at each entrance to the Buttermilk parking lot, and one
sign located approximately one half mile in either direction along ,��
� Highway 82. : :y�
Commissioaer Tuite moved approval of the modification to allow four ~�''
more signs. With a second by Commissianer Ross, the mction passed
unanimouslp. ' '� .

PASSEA IINANIMOUSLY - Konchan summarized by stating, that on July � �
23, 1991, Peter Lorum, representing the loth Mountain Trail
Association came before the Board to request a waiver of the '� �•
additional fees over their initial deposit associated with their ;� �, . `
application and review on Margy's Hut. At that time, staff was .
look into the matter to bring back at this time. �

Konchan said the app2icant paid a deposit of $1,786. However, the •
� total planning staff time spent on the application was 41 hours, '
and therefore, an additional billing was sent to the applicant.
ON June 11, 1991, the applicant came before the Board to waive the �
application fees and tlte Board at that time determined, that it ,��I� _"
would be hard on the PZanning Office budget and that the applicant �. ,, __

staff's additional billing hours associated with this review were
calculated and the applicant was billed for an additional billing
in the amount of $3,770. She said these billings were mostly ' .

Peter Lorum stated, that he had not been made aware that there - �
would be other costs other than the initial deposit. Had they have ����=
' known that, they would not have moved forward with the application.
