AMENDING DISTRICT HOIINDARIES FOR PITRIN COIINTY , .

WHEREAB, the Pitkin County Board of County Commissioners is '"

. _ responsible pursuant to C.R.S., Section 30-10-306, to evaluate the �
County districts based on maintaining as nearly as possible an
equal population within each district; and .
WHEREAB, on August 27, 1991 the Board evaluated the district {
boundaries according to the criteria outlined in the state statues 3.

and;
WHEREAB, the population of Pitkin County based on the 1990
census information is 12,661 people; and
WHEA.EAB, according to the above noted criteria each district �
: should house approximately 2,532 residents or as nearly as
�;j possible; and
WHEREAB, the Board has determined that the boundaries as drawn
r� on Exhibit 1, attached, provides district boundaries which are as
� a
.�S close as possible in population.
�� NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED b the Pitkin Count Board of
