AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT, made as of the 12th day of September, 1991, by and between the County of Pitkin, Colorado, a Colorado - - home-rule county, (hereinafter called the COUNTY) and Alpine � Construction Company, Inc., {hereinafter aalled the CONTRACTOR). �.� WITNESSETA, that whereas the County intends to accom- <"; ����•����' plish the Remodeling and Partition of the District Courtroom, • Pitkin County Courthouse, 506 East Main Street, Aspen, Colorado, `° hereinafter called the PROJECT, in accordance with the terms and °.,�C conditions outlined in the Bid Documents and the associated Plans ° and SpeciEications. �i i�. - NOW, THEREFORE, the County and the Contractor, for the � �� � � considerations hereinafter set forth, agree as follows: e �': j z ;' a 1. THE CONTRACTOR AGREES to furnish all the necessary laboz, materials, equipment, tools and services necessary to complete in a worlananlike manner all tasks required for the completion of the Project, in strict compliance with the contract documents herein mentioned, which are made a part of this con- " tract. t� �.� a. CONTRACT TIME AND LIOUTDATED DAMAGES. Work r� under this Agreement sha11 be commenced by September 25, 1991, and + • - r shall be substantially completed by November 15, 1991. Contractor hereby agrees to pay County Liquidated Damages in the amount of �• � " $150.00 per calendar day for each day or part oE a day the Project I . � is not completed by the completion date here established. � � b. SUB-CONTRACTORS. The Contractor agrees to bind every sub-contractor by the terms of the Contract Documents. AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY OF THE ASSISTANT TO � y.�J THE COUNTY MANAGER. All work shall be done under the general ' supervision and direction of the Assistant to the County Manager ' or his designee, the Project Manager. SUCCE3SORS AND ASSIGNS.
