� SHALL BE AMENDED TO READ:
"Upon request by the SERVICE, the SHERIFF will under the
terms of this agreement and at no cost to the SERVICE during ' �
.{ the initial burning period, have the responsibility for
t ensuring that initzal attack on wildfire incidents is
; performed either directly or through his cooperators on all
' SERVICE lands within Pitkin County as identiEied on the
_ ` attached map."

j SECTION 4.2:
i SHALL $E AMENDED TO READ:

� ' "The initial attack responsibilities of the SHERIFF for k
� wildfires occurring on SERVICE lands in Pitkin County will �
.; terminate when the SSRVICS formally assumes command of the
incident. The SERVICE should release the Sheriff's forces as
� soon as possible after the SERVICE formally asswnes command � �
� of the incident."

"The terms of this agreement shall apply only for the �
initial period of an incident. After the initial period has �� '
expired, the assisting agency may request reimbursement from �°.y i
the requesting agency at a predetermined manpower and
' equipment rate listed in Annex "A" of this document for any �.

'' that incident after the initial period of that incident.'� ;
