- .� 1. Colorado Counties, Znc. (CCI) has proposed certain � t,.
� changes to its by-laws which will be discussed at the Annual ��`
Business Meeting on June il, i992 in Steamboat Springs. �:T � .
2. The Board of Pitkin County Commissioners has reviewed F�
',� these ro osed b laws chan es and believe that the chan es `>:

proposed will have a significant negative effect on Pitkin County's ,f."�'� :
ability ta effectively assert issues important to it and to other "
: � non-metro counties, rega�dless of whether these issues be urban or �
rural in nature. 4�

..' :1 3. Tha Boarc�. further believes that these proposed by-law
changes will ultimata�y lead to the dissolution of CCI as a result
of the loss of the one county one vote approach ahd that � '
dissolution will negatively affect insurance pools associated with
CCZ in spite of their independence.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
- Commissioners of Pitkin County, Colorado that the Board opposes the
> :� proposed changes to the by-laws of CCI and urges all counties in
Colorado to oppose these changes, and .any other changes as well
that violate the one county one vote principle, and to make their
views known at the CCI Annual Business Meeting on June 11, 1992.
