Currently Section 6-2.1 of the Home Ru3e Charter provides that all �• prospective candidates for elective office file their petitions with the County Clerk not �} more than sixty(60)days nor fewer than forty-�ve(45)days before the primary election. � � . 2. Ctirrently Section 6-4 of the Home Rule Charter provides that all issues to �� be piaced on the primary ballot or a special election ballot be submitted to the County Clerk at least thirty (30) days prior to a primary or special election and all issues to be placed on the general ballot shall be submitted to the Clerk at least fifty (50)days prior � - to the general election. �; ��y. : 3. Colorado Revised Statutes Section 1-6-2Q1 and 1-6-202 state that the : � Secretary of State shall give notice to each County Clerk at least fifty(50)days before the `: - primary and general elections of ali offices for nomination. r . .�. 4. All candidates for elected of�ice must file petitions with the .,,��; Clerk and Recorder for such office not earlier than twenty (20) days nor ' later than five (5) days before the deadline established by state statute for _ the Secretary of State to transmit to each county clerk and recorder the notice of primary election. .�� Section 6-4 Other Election Issues.
