.�.' 1. Pursuant to Section 3-8.11 of the Land Use Code, Filmauro ' .
r' S.R.L. (hereinafter "Applicant") requests approval of a
- temporary use permit from the Board of County Commissioners 1� . -
< (hereinafter "Board"); and

: 2. The temporary use permit shall accommodate the filming
of the motion picture, "California Dreaming" on two sites
,� .`'", within Pitkin County; and -
� 3. The filming shall occur over a period of approximately �

72 hours on September 24, 25 and 26, 1992; and �
4. Filming shall be staged at the Maroon Lake area on ,f•

-= September 24th and on the Roaring Fork River in the vicinity

of Stein Park on September 25th and 26th. �

` � NOA, THEREFORE, B& IT RESOLVSD by the Bc+ard that it hereby
�=-� grants Filmauro S.R.L. a Temporary Use permiL• to accommodate the
filming of the motion picture, "California Dreaming" on two sites
within Pitkin County subject to the following conditione: � d�
' 1. Prior to oommencement of filming activities , the applicant .�y�l� .-
shall execute a ^Temporary Use of Property Agreement" with the ;, �`. _� '
County, for utilization of County property within the Rio f�
Grande right-of-way. .� , �

2. Multi-axle vehicles shall not be allowed on trails or paths j �P! •
leadin to and from Henr Stein Park. These vehicles shall ''�"°r�-`��r�
� be limited to Cemetery Lane and the parking lot associated � ~��t�'+�-_

coordinate with Steve Anthony or Jim Duke from the County :� �
� Public Resource office regarding use of areas within and ��'� t-.
�� adjacent to the Park which have recetttly been revegetated. ` • �.,.:
These areas shall be ro ed off b the Count and the a licant s'�s?'��>

3 4. Prior to commencement of filminq, the applicant shall contact ��� �
. � the Colorado Division of Wildlife and obtain their approval ;�
for the nse of netting in the Roaring Fork River to catch a. � `? ,
� debris downstream of the filming. ',y: =-. �;

� 5. Prior to commencement of filming, the applicant shall obtain �'.�"*
a noise variance from the Environmental Health DepaYtment.

6. The applicant shall be responsible for all area maintenance. ' la
"#; 7. The applicant shall provide passenger vans to shuttle
employees to and from filming sites. �
;;•;�,::` 8. Prior to commencement of filming, the app3icant shall provide
a letter of consent to the County from the Aspen Valley Land
� Trust for use of their property (Henry Stein Park) for the
,:.� purpose of filming. _
� 9. Filming at the Maroon Lake area shall be subject to all
�? requirements of the U.S. Forest Service Temporary Special Use
Permit ,{FS 2700-25-1900-51.

10. All structures shall conform to any and all requirements of ;t �
applicable building codes and other regulations of Pitkin ; w
County. �
� ,
� .11. This temporary use permit is issued to Filmauro S.R.L, to
__,� accommodate the filming of the motion picture, "CALIFORNIA �;
� DREAMING." Filming shall be staged at the Maroon Lake area
(as approved by the Forest Service) on September 24th and on
the Roaring Fork River at Stein Park on September 25th and - .
26th, 1992. Hours of operation shall be between 6:00 a.m. and
7:00 p.m. at Stein Park. � :
`� In the event that dates and times change, the applicant shall �
,; F be responsible for notifying all parties concerned, including, +�j:: : •
but not limited to, Reid Haughey, County Manager. '<

12. Any lighting shall be directed and focused so as to not ' �`y
adversely affect residences in the vieinity of filming. '` {�

, 13. The activities of the applicant shall not generate debris, }�'��: :

location of any vehicles, equipment or materials within said ���

� property witihout first obtaining written approval of all
; landowners within said distance of the equipment. A copy of
"� ' said landowner approval(s) shall be forwarded to Tom Newland,
Deputy Director of Public Works, prior to the commencement of k

i 15. All areas affected by the activities conducted by, or under
the direction or control of, the applicant shall be restored � :
.. � to their pre-permit condition at the conclusion of this event.
- This could include bank restoration along the Roaring Fork
River. '
