Experience- see introduction and section 1 of portfolio ` .,j V In addition to section 1 we would like to include the followinq t ' : - comments with regard to our experience. Newstrom Davis Construction Company recently completed a design t build of the C3ribou Club in Aspen. This project required that we `' build a basement beneath on of Aspen's oldest historical buildings ! -: (The Aspen Hardware Store). We first used a technique of injecting ' the soils with a glue that in a fashion froze the soils. We then ;i demolished the interior of the building, including the roof, ; ' ";; leaving only exterior walls. From that point we built the basement and reconstructed a structural frame for the upper three stories. We developed the entire freeze process and incorporated it with a ' step by step desiqn build of the structural frame to the roof. The i;' - project required above average attention to workers and public 1 safety. This particular project provided not only safety ) challenges but environmental challenges as well, controlling dust, ; •" _ dirt, noise, traffic (foot and motorist) and equipment and ,:i. ` materials storage. We had the precast lintels designed with ' ' sonotr,be in the center to lighten the units. Each unit was ; designed with two tubes which substantially lightened them.
