A.In addition to the normal Sheriff's patrol duties, to assign a deputy • to make extra vatrole in the Independence and Maroon Creek corridors, with speci£ic attention given to Difficult Campground and Maroon Lake day use ' area. Other areas that will be given attention are: Silver Queen Campground, Silver Bell Campground, Silver Har Campground, and East Maroon Portal in Maroon Valley, and Weller Campground, Lincoln Gulch Campground, Lincoln Creek Road, Lostman Campground, and Grottos parking area in the Independence corridor. During regular patrol of the Crystal River drainage to pass through :r the Redstone campground located on the Sopris District and on July 4th to �. 1.. make a check of this campground during the evening. ,.�. 2. To dispatch additional deputies within the manpower capabilities for • unforeseen or emergency situations upon requeat of the Forest Service without additional reimbursement. 3. To furnish the Service monthly itemized atatements fot expenditures in � Clause A-1A of the Operating Plan. Separate statements will be submitted for the two hour extra patrols. The statement should be aent to the Aspen :"' Ranger District, 806 West Aallam, Aspen, Colorado 81611. - 4. The itemized statement will be in sufficient detail to allow the Forest , Service to tie these expenditures back to the reimbursable expenses and the rate schedule contained in A-lA and will be certi£ied by the Sheriff's Department as being current and proper. � 5. " II, The Service Aarees; � 1. To reimburse the Pitkin County Sheriff's Department on receipt of ' satisfactory statements of expenditures in accordance with the following schedule: A. Clause lA. The actual cost of patrolling the specified areas in the . Independence and Maroon corridors beginning May 26, 1996 and ending May 21, 1997, for those patrols over and above noxmal patrols at the rate of $40.00 per hour per extra patrol (two (2) houzs per extra patrol). Total reimbursement for all services not to exceed $40o0.00 for the period established in this plan. B. Clause 1B. The actual cost of removing abandoned vehicles from National Forest lands wi12 not exceed the actual towing cost. C. Clause 2.
