Being the first meeting for the year 1928, the Board proceeded with its reorganisation. tomiantions in order for Chairman of the Board of Commissioners. C.M.Reed was nominated, seconded, and unanimous ly elected. Robert S.Killey recommended: Mr.John Saunders to serve as his deputy for the ensuing year,subjeot to the a pproval of the Board. Upon motion the said ap$intment was approved, and This salary fixed at $80.00 per month. . County Assessor Paul # .Casey requested of the Board that the appointment of his depot be deferred until a later date. His request was granted by the Board. County Clerk Mary McKenna recommended Lillian Leaver to serve as her deputy for. the. ensuing yeas, subject to the approval of the Board. Upon motion the said appointment was approved and her salary fixed at $80,00 per month. . . . Sheriff recommended the deputy incharg of thejail. Mr. MiltonConner to act dejani act ter for the Court House for the ensuing year. Upon motion the said appointments were approved and hie salary fixed at $80.00 per month. J.W. Deane was nominated and unanimously elected ta:serve as County Attorney for the ensuing year. Upon motion, the Commissioners agreed to allow Mr.Bruin y $25.00 as expense money to at- tend the State Association. A warrant was ordered drawn in favor of Sheriff Bruin in the sum of I00.00 for the ex- pense of taking Mrs. Miller to the State Asylum, she having been adjudged incapable of oaring for herellf,bya duly appointed Commission in lunacy. Said sum so advanced to the Sheriff to be reimbursed to the County by Conservator Hanson out of the estate of Mrs.Miller. Upon motion Kenneth Hanson was appointed as speoial auditor for the purpose of inspeetin . and reporting on the books of the assessor's office, and to employ such help as he may need to bring said books down to date. Because of theerroneous- assessment of Castle Fork Planer Iff.S.Putent Survey No.2016 in.the sum of 42740.00,unwarrantediy raised in the levi of 1927 from the fair valuation of 4500.00 '' at which sum it had been begone that time assessed. the sum of 487.00 is rebated from the erroneous tax sum of 4106.42 leaving the sum of $19.42 to be reoeipted for in full for taxes for I927 and with instructions to the County !lssessor to list said property at 4500.00 valu- ation. The order heretofore made in the matter of apportionment of the 1927 income to the County rrom the Forestry Service, wherein 95% of said income was *trotted to be put into the General Road Fund and 5 was set over to the County School Fund, is hereby resoinded; and in place thereof, the County Treasurer is instructed to 50% of said income fund to the credit III of the General Road Purposes Fund and 50% of said income to the School Fund; and as the apportionment has already been made on the books; the Treasurer is instructed to transfer from the General Road Purposes Fund to the County Sohoel Fund the sum of 01560.78,whie), with the $I73.4I already set'over, makes the sum of 1734.19 whioh is 1/2 if the sum of $3468.39, , the amount received from the Forestry Service. I Because of the erroneous assessment of the property of James Begley for seven head of Battle instead of six heat; it is ordered that the tax be reduoed from $59.75 to $58.24 by allowing a rebate of $1.51 to Mr. Begley.
