Sardy,Chairman; Commissioners Crest A. Gerba and C. 0. Quam; C. H. Darrow, County Attorney; Wm C. Stapleton Acting Clerk; The minutes of the meeting held Feb. 17, 1950 were read and approved. The monthly reports of the Clerk of the County Court, Clerk of the District Court and Count lerk were approved and signed. The Report of the service officer was examined, approved and signed. The resignation of Mr. Kenneth S. Watt as County Treasurer having been accepted, effective :t such time as a successor could be appoirted and duly qualified and as Mr. Phillip J. Crosbt 1 ad made application for the position upon motion duly seconded and carried Mr. Crosby was nanimously appointed to fill the vacancy until a successor is elected and duly qualified at he next General Election. Martz Sr. having offered a bid for the purchase of all the right, title and interest of Pitkin County, Colorado in and to certain lots in certain blocks in Riverside Additibn to the City of Aspen , Colorado, the above mentioned bids was rejected for the reason that Pitkin County is still in the process of acquiring tax title to all property situate in said County which is svbject to acquisition by the County through tax deed and therefore the Board is unable to decide in what tracts and blocks such property will be offered for sale at Public Auction until tax title to such properties shall have been acquired by the County of Pitkin. The Bond of Mr. Eugene A. Trainor in the Amount of $1,000.00 as Deputy County Coroner was approved as to form and sufficiency. Mr. Lorain Herwick was appointed to take County Inventory as of Jan. 1, 1950 at a salary of $1.00 per Hour. As Dr. Allen M. Cochrane is leaving Pitkin County to take up his duties as a Physician in another State he personally appeared before the Board and tendered his resignation as County Physician. Gerbaz and C. 0. hes Quam; Wm C. Stapleton acting Clerk. The minutes of the meeting held March 6, 1950 were read and approved. Upon motion duly seconded and carried it was agreed to accept the reccomendation of the Auditor's report and set a Bond of $2,000.00 for the Superintendent or Matron of the Pitkin County Public.Hospital. The Board authorized and approved a petty cash fund to be used by the Matron of the Hospital for Miscellaneous cash payments in the amount of $100.00 to be reimbursed each month upon presentation of a detailed voucher by said Matron.
