At a public hearing on December 16, 2Q09, the Board of County Commissioners approved Ordinance #30-2009 which established fees far the Community Development Department. Fees far the Hearing Officer were included in the fee schedule. 2. These fees will be set at a consistent and fair rate to the public and will reflect the true cost of such service. In order to stay current with costs and maintain a qualified applicant pool,fees will be determined at prevailing rates for similaz services. 3. This ardinance will also allow Hearing Officer fees to be set administratively based on actual costs by the CQmmunity Development Director. 4. Attached as Exhibit A is the current PLANNING, ZONING AND REFERRAL FEES SCHEDULE Paragraph C. sheet. The Amendment to Paragraph C.Referral Agency Fees will read as follows: Heario (3fficer Actual cost of service as set by the Community Development Director 5. The Hearing Officer rate shall be effective upon adoption of this ordinance. 6. The Board finds that the requested amendment is in the best interest of the citizens of Pitkin County. 7. The Board finds that this ordinance and regulation is a regulation and rule of general applicability. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Board of County Commissianers of Pitkin �ounty, Colorado, that the Boazd of County Commissianer of Pitkin County hereby amends Ordinance #3�-2009 by amending the Hearing Officer fees anly. All other fees and aspects of the ordinance remain in effect.
