CALL TO ORDER: Chairman George Newman called the Board of County
Commissioners Special Meeting to order at 10:00 AM.
COUNTY COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: George Newman, Rob Ittner, Rachel
Richards, Michael Owsley and Steve Child
COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT: None
Resolution Denvina a Petition for Abatement or Refund of Taxes (Tax Years 2011
& 2012) for Pensco Trust Co. FBO Austine N. Stitt (Schedule No. 3400)
Staff: Larry Fite and Scotty Giddings, Assessor's Office
AND
Resolution Denvinq a Petition for Abatement or Refund of Taxes (Tax Years
2011/2012) for NTC & Co FBO Austine N. Stitt (Schedule No. 3922)

Action: Commissioner Ittner moved to accept the Assessor's recommendation for
denial for the Pensco Trust Co. and NTC & Co. Commissioner Richards seconded the

motion. Motion passed unanimously 5 to 0 with Commissioner Newman, Ittner,
Richards, Owsley and Child voting aye.
NOTE: An email from Austine N. Stitt stated that she would not be here and therefore
was no longer contesting the Assessor's recommendations on both of these Petitions.
Resolution Approvinq a Petition for Abatement or Refund of Taxes (for tax vear
2010) for James and Betsv Fifield (Schedule No. 20664)
Staff: Larry Fite and Scotty Giddings, Assessor's Office
ACTION: Commissioner Richards moved to accept and uphold the Assessor's
recommendation for approval. Commissioner Ittner seconded the motion. Motion
passed unanimously 5 to 0 with Commissioners Newman, Ittner, Richards, Owsley and
Child voting aye.
Resolution Denyinq a Petition for Abatement or Refund of Taxes (Tax Year 2012)

Staff: Larry Fite and Scotty Giddings, Assessor's Office
ACTION: Commissioner Richards moved to accept and uphold the Assessor's
recommendation for denial. Commissioner Ittner seconded the motion. Motion passed
unanimously 5 to 0 with Commissioners Newman, Ittner, Richards, Owsley and Child
voting aye.
Resolution Approvinq an Adiustment for a Petition for Abatement or Refund of
Taxes (Tax Years 2012) for Rudi Lepname Rev. Trust (Schedule No. 21438)
Staff: Larry Fite and Scotty Giddings, Assessor's Office
ACTION: Commissioner Richards moved to accept and uphold the Assessor's
recommendation for an adjustment to $1,500,000.00 for the 2012 tax year.
Commissioner Owsley seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously 5 to 0 with
Commissioners Newman, Ittner, Richards, Owsley and Child voting aye.
Resolution Denvinq a Petition for Abatement or Refund of Taxes (Tax Year 2012)
for Arthur Bier (Schedule No. 3953)
Staff: Larry Fite and Scotty Giddings, Assessor's Office
An emaif inessage from Mr. Bier dated June 18, 2013 at 8:30 AM stated that he no
longer wished to proceed with the abatement hearing.
