FLOOR AREA(SECOND COMPETITION)

RECITALS
l. On February 13, 2002,the Planning and Zoning Commission("Commission")held aduly noticed
public hearing at which time evidence and testimony was presented with respect to Rural Area Growth
Management applications.
2. The Commission reviewed the following application for the 2001 Rural Area GMQS competition
for additional floor area(second competition):
• Starwood R-79 LLC: requesting an additional 4,400 square ft. of floor area on Tract R-79,
Starwood Eleven
4. 4,435 square feet were available for the competition. A total of 35,565 square feet of floor area was
allocated in the first 2001 competition,out of the 40,000 square feet available on an annual basis.
4. The Commission scored the applications pursuant to the criteria in Section 4120 of the Land Use
Code.
5. The application exceeded the minimum threshold score of 48 points and achieved the minimum
threshold score for each scoring category,and is,therefore,eligible for allotments.
6. Pursuant to Section 4-60-060 of the Code,the Commission's scores were forwarded by
resolution to the Board of County Commissioners("BOCC")on February 13, 2002.
7. No appeals of the Commission's scores were filed within the required 14 day appeal period.
NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the BOCC that it does hereby allocate 4,400 square
feet of floor area to Starwood R-79 LLC(Lot R-79, Starwood Subdivision)in the 2001 Rural Area GMQS
competition for additional floor area(second competition).
APPROVED AND ADOPTED ON THE 27th day of February,2002.
