CALL TO ORDER: Chairman George Newman called the Board of County
Commissioners Special Meeting to order at 3:46 PM for the purpose of Abatement
Hearings.
COUNTY COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: George Newman, Rob Ittner, Rachel
Richards, and Steve Child
COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT: Michael Owsley
Resolution No. 100.2013 Approvincl a Petition for Partial Abatement or Refund of
Taxes (Tax Years 2011 and 2012) for Stewart Gorenbera. Schedule #R002660-
MOTION TO APPROVE, AS AMENDED
Staff: Dan Popish, County Assessor's Office
Petitioner: Stewart Gorenberg, present
ACTION (FIRST MOTION): Commissioner Richards moved to amend the Assessor's
recommendation to a new value of $1,165,365.00. Commissioner Child seconded the
motion. Commissioners Newman and Ittner said that they would not support this motion.
Therefore, Commissioner Richards withdrew her motion.
ACTION (SECOND MOTION): Commissioner Ittner moved for an additional reduction
of $35,000.00 to the assessed value of$1,226,700.00 recommended by the Assessor.
Commissioner Richards seconded the motion. Motion passed 4 to 0 with

Commissioners Newman, Ittner, Richards, and Child voting aye and Commissioner
Owsley not present.
Resolution No. 101.2013 Approving a Petition for Partial Abatement or Refund of
Taxes (Tax Years 2011 8 2012) for the Estate of Marvin A. Tiliman, Schedule
#R9078 — MOTION TO APPROVE, AS AMENDED
Staff: Steve Miller, County Assessor's Office
Petitioner: Estate of Marvin A. Tillman
Representative: Allen Moore, Personal Representative of the Estate, present
Barbara Butler, Attorney for the Petitioner, on conference-call
ACTION: Commissioner Ittner moved to adjust the revised appraised value of
$250,000.00 down to $150,000.00. Commissioner Richards seconded the motion.
Motion passed 3 to 2 with Commissioners Ittner, Richards, and Child voting aye,
Commissioner Newman voting nay and Commissioner Owsley not present.
ADJOURNMENT:
Chairman Newman adjourned the Special Meeting at 4:58 PM.
