ADMINISTRATIVE DECISION OF THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR OF
PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO, APPROVING A SPECIAL EVENT FILMING PERMIT
Administrative Decision No4 -2014
RECITALS
A. Pursuant to Subsection 4- 30 -50(i) of the 2006 Pitkin County Land Use Code, the Community
Development Director of Pitkin County, Colorado ( "Director') may approve a Temporary
Commercial Use /Special Event Permit.
B. NBC Universal — Peacock Productions (hereafter, the "Applicant') has applied to the Director for
approval of a Special Event Film Permit for filming on March 170i and March 1811, 2014 from
8:30AM to 6:OOPM. This footage will be of a stuntman paragliding off Ruthies Run on Aspen
Mountain and landing in Marolt Open Space within the City of Aspen. Cameras will be posted at
the launch and landing with a satellite truck parked at the intercept lot for live camera feed.
C. Approximately 15 -20 cast/crew will participate in the filming.
D. The Aspen Skiing Company has issued approval for use of Aspen Mountain Ski Area. The
Applicant has attained a USFS permit and approval for use of the Intercept Lot, and has been
issued a permit from the City of Aspen for use of the Marolt Open Space. The Sheriffs Office
and Communications Department has signed off on the event.
E. The Applicant has provided a Certificate of Insurance demonstrating adequate General Liability
coverage acceptable to the standards of the Risk Manager (and naming Pitkin County as an
Additional Insured).
F. The Director finds that, to the extent applicable, the application complies with the standards in
Subsection 4- 30 -50(i) of the Land Use Code.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Community Development Director of Pitkin County
does hereby grant approval for the NBC — Peacock Productions Special Event Filming Permit subject to the
following conditions:
The Applicant shall adhere to all material representations made in, or in connection with, the
application, including but not limited to its Safety and Operations Plan.

3. The Applicant shall remit payment of $312 for processing of this fihn permit within 10 working
days of approval.
No emergency access shall be blocked.
No parking on County roads.

6. Onsite crew shall have cellular phone for contact with emergency services or ski patroller radio
contact with dispatch.
Failure to comply with the conditions of approval may result in revocation of this permit.
