CALL TO ORDER: Chairman lttner called the Board of County Commissioners meeting
to order at 10:00 AM.
COUNTY COMMISSION MEMBERS PRESENT: George Newman, Rob lttner, Michael
Owsley and Steve Child.
COMMISSION MEMBERS ABSENT: Rachel Richards was attending a meeting
associated with county business out of the area.
ADDITIONAL STAFF PRESENT: Larry Fite and Scottie Giddings, Assessor's Office.
Action: Commissioner Owsley moved to enter into a Special Meeting at 10:00 a.m.
Commissioner Child seconded the motion passed with four yea votes by
Commissioners Newman, Owsley, lttner and Child with Commissioner Richards absent.
Resolution No. 052-2014 - Denying an Abatement Petition for Property Tax for
Thunderbowl Townhome Condominiums — Motion to Approve
Action: Commissioner Newman moved to uphold the assessor's recommendation for
this petition. Commissioner Child second the motion. Motion passed with four yea
votes by Commissioners lttner, Newman, Child and Owsley. Commissioner Richards
absent.
Resolution No. 053-2014 - Denying an Abatement Petition for Property Tax Refund
for Five Valley Farm LLC— Windstar— Motion to Approve
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS 1 SPECIAL MEETING MAY 20,2014
Action: Commissioner Child moved approval of the petition for an abatement for the
Windstar Valley Ranch. Commissioner Owsley seconded the motion. Motion passed
with four yea votes by Commissioners Ittner, Newman, Owsley and Child with
Commissioner Richards absent.
Resolution No. 054-2014 — Approving an Abatement Petition for Maroon Creek
Lot 13 Aspen Highlands Village PUC — Motion to Uphold the Assessor's
Recommendation of Value — Motion to Approve
Action: Commissioner Newman moved to uphold the assessor's recommended
valuation. Commissioner Owsley second the motion. Motion passed with four yea
votes by Commissioners lttner, Newman, Owsley and Child with Commissioner
Richards absent.
Resolution No. 055-2014 — Approving an Abatement Petition for George Jr. and
Svitlana Chopivsky, Aspen highlands Village PUD — Motion to Approve
Action: Commissioner Newman moved to uphold the assessor's recommended
valuation. Commissioner Owsley second the motion. Motion passed with four yea
votes by Commissioners lttner, Newman, Owsley and Child with Commissioner
Richards absent.
Resolution No. 056-2014 - Denying an Abatement Petition for the Florida
Company Woodrun Unit 1, Lot 41 — Motion to Deny
Action: Commissioner Newman moved to uphold the assessor's valuation.
Commissioner Owsley seconded the motion. Motion passed with four yea votes by
Commissioners Ittner, Newman, Owsley and Child with Commissioner Richards being
absent.
Resolution No. 057-2014 - Denying an Abatement Petition for Property Tax
Refund for the Florida Company Woodrun Unit Five, Lot 2, Parcel 11 — Motion to
Deny
Action: Commissioner Newman moved to uphold the assessor's valuation.
Commissioner Owsley seconded the motion. Motion passed with four yea votes.
Commissioner Richards absent.
Resolution No. 058-2014 - Denying an Abatement Petition for Property Tax Refund
for the Snowmass Club and Morin Rene — Motion for Administrative Denial
Action: Commissioner Owsley moved for an administrative denial. Commissioner
Child seconded the motion. Motion passed with four yea votes by Commissioners
Ittner, Child, Owsley and Newman with Commissioner Richards absent.

Refund for Sanctuary at Snowmass — Motion for Administrative Denial
Action: Commissioner Owsley moved for an administrative denial. Commissioner
Child seconded the motion. Motion passed with four yea votes by Commissioners
Ittner, Child, Owsley and Newman with Commissioner Richards absent.
Petition for Abatement of Property Taxes - Mother Lode a Investors - Petition
Withdrawn by the Property Owner
ADJOURNMENT:
Action: Commissioner Child moved to adjourn the special meeting at 11:50 a.m.
Commissioner Owsley seconded the motion. Motion passed with four yea votes by
Commissioners Ittner, Child, Owsley and Newman with Commissioner Richards not
present.
