HomeMy WebLinkAboutbocc.ord.037.2014AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF PITKIN
COUNTY, COLORADO, ESTABLISHING FEES FOR THE ENVIRONMENTAL
HEALTH DEPARTMENT AND REPEALING AND REPLACING RESOLUTION 064-
2010
Ordinance No. (D- -2014
RECITALS
Pitkin County proposes to set fees for the Environmental Health Department that are
consistent and fair to the public and reflect the expense incurred in providing such
services to the public and where applicable, follow Colorado State Statutes.
Certain fees currently charged for environmental health services no longer reflect the cost
of providing the necessary levels of such services. The policy of the Pitkin County Board
of County Commissioners is that development shall pay, in full, the cost of development
review in Pitkin County. The fees herein will not achieve that goal, but implementation of
the new fee schedule will allow the County to move closer to the goal.
3. The Department is establishing fees for renewable permits, and minor repair permits,
which are new permit types pursuant to the adopted 2014 Onsite Wastewater Treatment
System (OWTS) Regulations and have not been previously established.
4. The BOCC considered the proposed fees at a first reading on December 3, 2014 and at a
second reading and public hearing on December 15, 2014.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the BOCC that it does hereby adopt fees
for the Environmental Health Department as follows:
1. Environmental Health Department Fees. Fees shall be based on the attached fee
schedule (Exhibit A).
