Pursuant to Subsection 4-30-50(i) of the 2006 Pitkin County Land Use Code, the Community Development Director of Pitkin County, Colorado ("Director") may approve a Permit for Special Events. 2. Sarah -Jane Johnson (hereafter, the "Applicant") has applied to the Director for approval of a Special Event Permit for a party at the Smuggler Mine on June 20", 2015 from 6:OOPM to 12:OOAM. The party will involve wine tasting, music, and catered food. Between 300 and 400 attendees are expected throughout the evening. 3. The Applicant has stated that valet service will shuttle attendees to the Mine from various locations in Aspen. Because most of the attendees are from out of town, virtually no parking will occur on the Mine property. 4. This application was referred to the Sheriff's Office, Aspen Fire Department, the Clerk's Office, and the Aspen Ambulance District. Referral comments were received from the Sheriffs Office who approved of the event. The Ambulance District is aware of the event. The Applicant has applied for a tent permit and the tent is scheduled to be inspected by the Aspen Fire Protection District prior to the event. 5. The Director finds that, to the extent applicable, the application complies with the standards in Subsection 4-30-50(i) of the Land Use Code. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Community Development Director of Pitkin County does hereby grant approval for the Wine at the Mine Special Event Permit subject to the following conditions: 1. The Applicant shall adhere to all material representations made in, or in connection with, the application, including but not limited to its Safety and Operations Plan. 2. No parking shall occur on Smuggler Mountain Road. 3. No emergency access shall be blocked at any time. 4. All bar tenders at the event shall be TIPS trained. 5. Noise emanating from the party shall not exceed 50 dB(A) at the property line. 6. The Applicant shall comply with the County noise regulations. 7. Failure to comply with the conditions of approval may result in revocation of this permit.
