PROVISION OF SERVICES LIBRARY EXPANSION ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES

CONTRACTOR: Snowdon and Hopkins Architect,P.C.
The Contract for Provision of Services, Library Expansion Architectural Services (the
"Agreement") dated October 30, 2015, between the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin
County (the "County") and Snowdon and Hopkins Architects, P.C. (the "Architect"), is hereby
amended as follows:
Background:
For summary purposes only, the original contract for Provision of Services, Library Expansion
Architectural Services dated October 30, 2013 relating to those architectural services for the entire
library project, being generally Conceptual Design, Schematic Design and estimate for Design
Development.
A. Change Order 93.2013A executed June 4,2014 amending initial Contract to supplement
funding for the Design Development phase and to contract for Construction Drawings for
the Rio Grande Parking Garage and Addition.
B. Change Order 93.2013B executed December 3,2014 amending Contract to lead a
consultant team through the renovation of the existing Library area and the additional area.
This amendment also includes provision of Construction Documents, Contract
Administration and Interior Design and Procurement Services.
Description of Change:
Work completed for original Contract and Change Orders A and B remain valid.
A. Value Engineering changes to the Construction Documents (Drawings and Specifications)
for the Renovation Phase 1 and 2 based on Architect design floor plans dated May 16, 2015
and Plan Change Summary dated May 10, 2015. At the County request, Sheets TA0.1
through TA6.1, and TT0.1 through TT6.3 will not be revised and included in Value
Engineering Documents.

B. Re-submittal for building permit approval to the City of Aspen Building Department of the
above noted Value Engineering Documents and Expansion Documents.
C. Completion of Expansion and Renovation Construction Administration Phases of the
project.
D. Inclusion of an Administrative Consultant (Ms. Leah Mayer), this role shall paid for by
Architect. This role shall provide additional processing support services as needed to
maintain General Contractor and County generated RFI, Submittal, and associated inquiries
progressing in a timely matter. Any changes to personnel provided for this role must be
approved by County.
E. The billing and payment of reimbursables shall not change from original Contract.
Reason for Change
This amendment establishes a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) for the remaining fees/invoices
to be billed to County for the remainder of the Work on the Expansion and Renovation of the Pitkin
County Library which includes the Construction Documentation and Construction Administration
Phases of the Work.
Original Contract Price $ 1,479,530.00
Net Increase/Decrease in Contract Price (this change order) $ 184,470.00
*Total Adjusted Contract Price (including this change order) $ 1,664,000.00
This change order does not extend the time to complete work. Estimated completion date remains
October 2016.
In all other respects the Agreement is in full force and effect and remains unchanged by this
Amendment.
