Aspen Skiing Company("Applicant")has applied to theBoard of County Commissioners of Pitkin County,Colorado("BOCC")to rezone approximately 7 acres within the Buttermilk Ski Area permit boundary(Uncle Chuck's Glade)from AFR-10 to AF-SKI in order to improve intermediate skiing and to separate intermediate skiers from beginner skiers on Homestead Road. 2. The parcel to be rezoned is located off of Homestead Road and connects into the Jacob's Ladder ski trail,and is more specifically depicted in Exhibit A and described in Exhibit B. 3. The Pitkin County Planning and Zoning Commission considered the proposed rezoning at a regularly scheduled meeting on May 29,2001,and recommended approval by a vote of 3-0. 4. The BOCC considered the proposed rezoning at a duly noticed public hearing on first reading on July 24,2002,and voted to approve the proposed amendments on second reading on August 14 2002. 5. The BOCC finds that the proposed rezoning is consistent with the applicable provisions of the Pitkin County Land Use Code. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED by the BOCC that it hereby rezones Uncle Chuck's Glade within the Buttermilk Ski Area from AFR 10 to AF-SKI. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING published in the Aspen Times Weekly on the 22nd day of June,2002. INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ AT A PUBLIC HEARING on the 24th day of July, 2002. APPROVED AND ADOPTED AFTER SECOND READING on the 14th day of August,2002. PUBLISHED AFTER ADOPTION in the Aspen Times Weekly on the�day of kh tlS+—, 2002.
