COUNTY,COLORADO,GRANTING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE
BUTTERMILK SKI AREA MASTER PLAN

RECITALS
1. Aspen Skiing Company("Applicant")has applied to the Pitkin County Board of County
Commissioners(`BOCC") for approval of an amendment to the Buttermilk Ski Area AF-SKI Master Plan
to include Uncle Chuck's Glade. In addition,the Applicant is requesting to rezone Uncle Chuck's Glade
from AFR-10 to AF-SKI.
2. The property is described as the Buttermilk Ski Area.
3. The majority of the property is zoned AF-SKI. The ski area permit boundary includes 951 total
acres with 464 skiable acres.
4. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the request on May 29,2001 by
a vote of 3-0.
5. The BOCC considered the application at public meetings on July 24 and August 14, 2002.
6. The BOCC finds that the application is generally consistent with the applicable provisions of the
Pitkin County Land Use Code.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the BOCC that it does hereby grant approval of an
amendment to the Buttermilk Ski Area Master Plan to include Uncle Chuck's Glade,which shall be subject
to all provisions of the Master Plan,as amended over time.
APPROVED AND ADOPTED on the 14th day of August,2002.
