The Provision of grant research and writing services (the "Agreement") dated October 8, 2015 between
the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County (the "County") and MKO Strategies (the
"Contractor"), is hereby amended as follows:
Description of Change:
As defined in the Contract, Phase II shall be defined by Contract Amendment.
Phase II—Preparing Grant Applications: Application#1 —Prepare a grant application for the North
West All Hazards Emergency Management Region (NWAHEMR) as one of their projects for the 2016
Department of Homeland Security grant(through the State of Colorado). This grant project proposal
will be for the allowable/eligible Pitkin County enhancements to the DTR System. Work on this project
will start November 20, 2015. The proposal is currently due to HWAHEMR around the firstweek of
February 2016.

Add 50 hours, increase contract value by$3,750.
The full amount of this Amendment, $3,750.00 is for Budget Line Item: 001.36.00000.82001
Reason for Change
Define the Radio project to be completed under Phase 2 of the Contract,preparing grant applications.
As described in the Contract, define Phase II through contract amendment. This work includes preparing
grant applications for projects in the County.
