He had sold his house to a Jack Jocobsen. They are in the porcess of rebuilding the sewage disposal system. At Ed Dreger's recommendation, they are digging up the old leaching field_ and existing malfuntioning septic system. They will run a new perc. test in that area. A permit has already been taken nut. The house will become a single family dwelling with 5 bedrooms. LETTER TO FOLLOW: ( ) OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS: DATE: Augiat. l0 , 19 -23 -- j ES: 7 (Rev. 6-70-100) REPRESENTATIVE: F • . • 506 E. MAIN STREET ASPEN, COLORADO 81611 P I T K TO: Jolene Vrchota, Planning Office N FROM: Bob Nelson, County Sanitarian DATE: October 2, 1979 OSUBJECT: Sherrif Triplex U N T This office has reviewed the proposed exemption on the Y referenced triplex. Water is supplied from the Gateway to Snowmass Mesa Subdivision well which conforms to sanitary standards. Exemption should not affect the water system. The house is served by an aerated treatment plant and absorption system installed under permit #0720146 in August, 1973. At the time our records indicate that the previousowner was planning to convert the house to a single family residence, and since this was not done the system is slightly undersized. However, I do recall that there is only one laundry facility for the residence which will reduce sewage flows. As long as the occupancy is limited to eight to ten people this system should continue to function adequately. An integral part of the individual sewage disposal system is the aerated treatment unit. Since the property is a rental, the owner should furnish proof of a continuing service policy that the manufacturer is routinely checking and maintaining the unit.
