The Provision of Geotechnical Investigation for Pitkin County Sheriff and Administration Buildings (the
"Agreement") dated June 24, 2015 between the Board of County Commissioners of Pitkin County (the
"County")and CTL Thompson(the"Contractor"), is hereby amended as follows:
Description of Change:
Provision of excavation retention design for the County Sheriff and Administration Building at 506 E.
Main Street,Aspen CO.Futher detail and pricing is described in Exhibit A.
1. Predesign conversation with the design team members to refine earth retention system
requirements and constraints.
2. Performing engineering analysis and calculations to design earth retention system.
3. Develop and submit drawings and specifications for the earth retention system, signed and
stamped by a Professional Engineer licensed in the State of Colorado.
4. Work with the design team,shoring contractor and City of Aspen to resolve conflicts with utilities
and retention system.
5. Provide scope of services and budget for construction observation and materials testing after the
contractor defines the construction schedule and quantities.
Reason for Change
Contractor provided the geotechnical investigation and laboratory testing of the soils to provide information
on characteristics, compressive strengths and other pertinent engineering properties for analysis of building
foundation, floors, walls and earth retention and dewatering systems. Contractor has developed the initial
soils information and is best suited to perform the work.
Original Contract Price $ 16,186.00
Net Increase/Decrease in Contract Price(this change order) $ 8,500.00
*Total Adjusted Contract Price(including this change order) $ 24,686.00
In all other respects the Agreement is in full force and effect and remains unchanged by this
Amendment.
