The sewer line leading to the septic tank for the grey water system is 4 inches in diameter. This is in violation of the Pitkin County Regulations on Individual Sewage Disposal Systems, section 6-1.5 (grey water systems), which reads as follows: "The building drain and sewer leading to tank shall be a maximum of two inches (2") to preclude a later tap for a water closet" the septic in diameter Be advised that you have 30 days from receipt of this notice to correct the fore mentioned violation or further legal action will be taken. We offer the following comments your consideration on the building permit. Water is to be supplied from a well that is already drilled and constructed. This water source also serves the adjacent O -Be - Joyful Subdivision and has already been sampled and tested for yield, as indicated in the attached paperwork on the subdivision. This well water source meets potability standards for chemical and bacteriological quality. With a second well developed and serving this subdivision, the incremental increase in water usage should not have an effect on the water supply, given the demand, well yields, and storage capacity.
