According to the floor plans, there will not be an increase in bedroom count. In an effort to improve our record of septic systems within the County, we are looking for more information which you may provide in the spring, prior to CO. Your current file shows no detail of the existing absorption field. This Department would like to collect the following information when weather conditions allow. • Location of existing 1000 gallon tank • Approximate location of existing absorption field • Setbacks to any wells, ponds, ditches and streams Locations and setbacks should be recorded on a site map for future reference. • Identify type of absorption field and assurance of proper functioning. • Assure T's on tank exist This can be accomplished by having the tank pumped (part of routine maintenance) and having the pumper and a representative of the Env. Health Department assess each component. Please call the Environmental Health Department this spring at a time when the approximate location of the field can be assessed. When the requested information is able to be collected and recorded, this Department can sign off on the CO; however, if the system is illegal or not functioning properly, it will have to be brought into compliance. Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions. After going over everything with and review the material you gave me I feel much more comfortable with the application. I'll call you later in the spring so we can set up time for your inspection. Again, thank you for your help and understanding.
