AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Resolution appointing Michael Edinger and Zachary Matthews as
Regular Members of the Planning and Zoning Citizen Board
STAFF RESPONSIBLE: Charlotte Anderson
SUMMARY OF ISSUE: Michael Edinger applied for a position on the Planning &Zoning
Commission and was interviewed by the BOCC on October 4th. Zachary Matthews also applied for
a position and was interviewed on October 18th.
The BOCC agreed to appoint both of these applicants at their meeting on November 2nd and
directed staff to prepare a resolution to make the appointments official on November 16th.
RECOMMENDED BOCC ACTION: Approve attached resolution.

APPOINTING CITIZEN BOARD MEMBERS

RECITALS
1. Volunteer Citizen Boards are established per the Home Rule Charter and State
Statute.
2. The Board of County Commissioners wishes to make the following appointments
to the following boards.
3. These appointments are effective as of this date November 16, 2016
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County, Colorado, that the following appointments are made:

MEETINGS: First and third Tuesday of each month at 5:00 PM. REMOVAL: The Chair shall request the BOCC to remove a member who
is absent from more than one-third of the regularly scheduled meetings within a calendar year.
