Pursuant to 30-35-301 C.R.S., the Board of County Commissioners ("BOCC")of Home Rule Counties is authorized to make and publish ordinances for carrying into effect or discharging the powers and duties conferred upon such counties by law and as seems necessary. 2. Pursuant to Section 2.8.1 of the Home Rule Charter("HRC"), the BOCC is authorized to take official action by Ordinance for certain matters where action is prescribed pursuant to the Colorado Revised Statues as amended. 3. The Board of County Commissioners has determined that a flat fee increase from 2% to 2.7% of project valuation for building permits is justified. 4. The Board of County Commissioners has determined that a minimum one-hour permit fee shall be charged for hourly plan review of change order permits without additional valuation, is justified. 5. The BOCC finds that adoption of this ordinance is in the best interest of the citizens of Pitkin County. Said plan review fee shall be 65%of the building pennit fee. Energy Code Fees Energy code review fees are based on the building permit fee and equal 10%of the total building permit fee,with a minimum charge of$30 00 Fire Sprinkler Fees Fire spnnkler fees are based on the valuation of the fire sprinkler system and calculated according to the Building Permit Fee schedule.
