AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Northwest Colorado Council of Governments Presentation

ISSUE STATEMENT: Staff from the Northwest Colorado Council of Governments (NWCCOG)
will be at today's meeting as part of their regional tour to update local officials on their Broadband
initiative.
BACKGROUND: In 2013,NWCCOG completed a Regional Broadband Strategic Plan which laid
the groundwork for Pitkin County's Broadband planning. In 2016, the NWCCOG Council approved
an update to the Broadband Plan with 2017—2020 goals. Nate Walowitz,NWCCOG Broadband
Coordinator and Jon Stavney,NWCCOG Executive Director will outline the 2017-2020 Broadband
Strategy for the BOCC.
