PITKIN COUNTY,COLORADO, APPROVING APPOINTMENTS OF MEMBERS
TO THE RURAL RESORT REGIONAL WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD
RESOLUTION NO. (Vl/ -2017
RECITALS:
I. Pursuant to Section 2 8.4 (Actions)of the Pith in ('ounty Home Rule Charter
("I IRC"), all matters not required to be acted upon by ordinance or formal
resolution may be acted upon by informal resolution.
2 Eagle, Garfield, Lake, Pitkin and Summit counties have previously agreed to be the
Rural Resort Workforce Area for local service deliver), planning and administratne
purposes of the One-Stop system: and
3 The counties identified above have previously established the Rural Resort Area
Workforce Development Board; and
4 It is necessary for the counties to annually appoint members and Local Elected
Officials to the Rural Resort Workforce Development Board to ensure that the
responsibilities outlined in the Rural Resort Development Board's Plan are carried
out and to appoint a Chief Elected Official for the Area. and to identify a provider
of the One-Stop Workforce Center Services; and
5 The following named individuals are hereby appointed to serve on the Rural Resort
Area Workforce Development Board for 2016, in addition to any other members
that may need to be appointed by the Board itself during 2016. and

6. Appoint Pitkin County Commissioner Patti Clapper as the Local Elected Official
(LEO) to represent the Pakin County Board of Commissioners to the Rural Resort
Workforce Development Board; and
7 Appoint Commissioner Tom Jankovsky of Garfield County as the Chief Local
Elected Official (CLEO)and the Rural Resort Workforce Development Board's
representative on the Colorado Rural Workforce Consortium Board of Local Elected
Officials; and
8. Appoint the State of Colorado Department of Labor and Emplo)ment as the sole
operator of the Workforce Centers in the Rural Resort Colorado Sub Area. I he
BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to approve
this Resolution
NOW, (HEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County, Colorado that it approves a resolution approving appointments of members
to the Rural Resort Regional Workforce Development Board and authorizes the Chair to
sign on behalf of the count).
