REGULAR MEETING DATE: April 26, 2017
AGENDA ITEM TITLE: Resolution Appointing Citizen Board Members
STAFF RESPONSIBLE: Charlotte Anderson
SUMMARY OF ISSUE:
At the April 18, 2017 Work Session the commissioners agreed to approve new and renewing
citizen board members outlined on the attached resolution. The commissioners asked staff to
prepare a resolution for these appointments.
There is one more Pitkin County Library Board applicant to schedule for an interview. Once the
interview is conducted, the commissioners will make a decision and another resolution will be
prepared.
BOCC RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve the attached resolution.

RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ("BOCC") OF
PITKIN COUNTY, COLORADO,APPOINTING CITIZEN BOARD MEMBERS
RESOLUTION NO. -2017
RECITALS:
1. Pursuant to Section 2.8.4 (Actions) of the Pitkin County Home Rule Charter
("HRC"), all matters not required to be acted upon by ordinance or formal
resolution may be acted upon by informal resolution.
2. Volunteer Citizen Boards are established per the Home Rule Charter and State
Statute.
3. The Board of County Commissioners wishes to make the following appointment to
the following board.
4. This appointment is effective as of this date April 26, 2017
5. The BOCC finds that it is in the best interests of the citizens of Pitkin County to
approve this Resolution.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners of
Pitkin County, Colorado that it approves a resolution appointing citizen board members and
authorizes the Chair to sign on behalf of the county.
