Dear Bob:
On November 15, 1989, High Country Engineering, Inc_ personnel
observed the construction in progress on the above referenced
ISDS. The construction appeared to be in general conformance with
the design. The gravel bed area was a different shape than shown
on the plans, but the area requirements were met.
We have enclosed a print of the design drawing and the
construction observation memo, for your records.
If you have any questicns or need additional information, please
give me a call.

On July 26, 1977, I inspected the above referenced system and

o plete to the point that the sand layer over the distribution lines

GENERAL NOTES
1. ALL CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PITRIN
COUNTY REGULATIONS OF INDIVIDUAL SEWAGE DISPOSAL SYSTEMS,
EVEN THOUGH ALL SUCH REQUIREMENTS ARE NOT SPECIFICALLY
NOTED ON THE DRAWINGS. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR SUCH SPECIFIC DETAILS AS ARE REFERRED TO
IN THE ABOVE MENTIONED REGULATIONS.
2. SEE ACCOMPANYING CALCULATION SHEETS FOR ADDITIONAL
INFORMATION.
3. SAND FILL SHALL MEET THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA:
100% SHALL PASS THE #4 SIEVE (6.4 MM)
§10% SHALL PASS THE # 200 SIEVE (0.13 MM)
AND SHALL HAVE A UNIFORMITY COEFFICIENT LESS THAN 5
(D60/D10§5)
CONCRETE SAND AND MASONRY SAND WILL BOTH GENERALLY MEET
THESE CRITERIA.
4. CLEANOUTS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL BENDS AND AT LEAST EVERY
100 FEET ALONG THE HOUSE SEWER.
5. THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR INSTALLING ALL
COMPONENTS OF THIS SYSTEM WATER TIGHT TO PREVENT
INFILTRATION, AND FOR AN INSTALLATION WITH SUFFICIENT
COVER AND/OR INSULATION TO PREVENT FREEZING.
6. TOPSOIL, COVER MAY BE VARIED (WITH 1 FOOT MINIMUM) TO
ALLOW LANDSCAPING.
7. INSTALL RISERS AS NECESSARY TO BRING ALL ACCESS POINTS TO
WITHIN 1/2 FOOT OF FINAL GRADE.
B. LOCATIONS OF ALL COMPONENTS MAY BE VARIED AS NECESSARY AS
LONG AS ALL MINIMUM DISTANCES AND SLOPES MEET THOSE
REQUIRED.
9. A 10 MIL (MIN.) PVC LINER MAY BE INSTALLED AROUND THE
SAND FILL TO ALLOW USE OF LESS EXPENSIVE PILL TO FINISH
SIDE SLOPES, IF THE MINIMUM SAND BASE AREA SHOWN IN THE
CALCULATIONS IS PROVIDED.
