The OWTS is designed for a 5 bedroom (residence.
The OWT system shall consisW sewage flowing via gravAy to a 2,000-gallon,'two-compartment concrete septic tank with a
Biomicrobics secondary treylfnent system installed! in the tank. The ff ent shall be dosed to a distribution box and then to a
split bed soil treatment area with 4 total zones. Each zone has 52 -4 chambers and each bed has 104 chambers for a
total of 208 chambers (2,05, ft2). The soil treatment area shall benimum of 140 feet to any well, 90 feet to any unlined
pond or stream. \ ��
This Permit must be kept on -sit durin` installation. The engineer must do a final inspection of the installation and submit an "as -built" letter to this
Department within 30 days of the'An, al i pection, unless a longer eriod of time has been agreed upon, in writing. This Department must also be called for
the final inspection with a minimum 6 ,48 ours notice.
Minimum horizontal distances between"oompone nts of the systen, and physical features shall conform to the requirements of the Pitkin County OWTS
Regulation. ` !"
This Permit is conditioned upon the property owner(s) providing for regular inspection, cleaning, and maintenance of the system by qualified personnel, in
accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations and the requirements of the Pitkin County OWTS Regulation. Issuance of this OWTS Construction
Permit does not constitute a guarantee, warranty, or representation by the Department that the system will operate properly or will not fail. Issuance of this
permit does not imply compliance with Pitkin County building and/or land use regulations, nor guarantee issuance of building and/or land use permits.
THIS PERMIT IS EXPRESSLY CONDITION UPON COMPLIANCE WITH ALL REQUIREMENTS OF THE PITKIN
COUNTY OWTS REGULATION, INCLUDINGBUT NOT LIMITED TO THOSE CONDITIONS SPECIFIED ABOVE.
Plans and specifications for the pr , 6d OWTS have been reviewed and are considered satisfactory. Permission is hereby
given to the property owners 6perform the work indicated in accordance with the Pitkin County OWTS Regulation. This
Permit will expired"ear-from the date of issuance unless construction on the system has commenced. An "as -built" drawing
must be submitted and approved by EH before final approval of the system will be issued.
