Box 8009 Aspen, CO 81612 RE: A Tract of Land in the SE 1/4, Section 16, Township 9 South, Range 85 West of the 6th P.M., numbered as 0186 Woods Road Dear Randy: On December 21, 1993, this company conducted an inspection of the referenced property, owned by Dr. and Mrs. Radom, for the purpose of evaluating the on-site wastewater disposal system serving the existing dwelling. The inspection was done at your request. This letter is an opinion of the suitability and compliance of the septic and water supply systems with local and State public health codes and accepted sanitary practices. The sewa-e disposal systems serving the three-bedroom residence consists of a 1000 gallon septic tank, a 675 gallon concrete manhole pumping chamber and an engineered mound absorption field. The site-specific septic system design was constructed when the house was originally constructed in 1987. A review of Aspen/Pitkin County Environmental Health Department records indicates that the environmental health department permitted, inspected and approved the construction of this system before it was placed in operation. Copies of the individual sewage disposal system design and permit are attached. We have verified that the septic tank was pumped in May, 1991, receiving the required maintenance. A visual inspection of the premises by this company indicates that the sewage system is apparently continuing to function as design at this time. There was no standing effluent in the areas of the absorption beds. The water level in the pumping chamber was normal and the alarm system is still operational. These are conditions that can be expected in a septic system of this design when working properly. We wish to emphasize that this tetter is not to be interpreted as implying any warranty regarding these sewage disposal systems. Nelson Environmental and Wastewater Solutions, Ltd. has undertaken this inspection using accepted practices for septic system evaluation to ensure its accuracy. However, we cannot assume any liability to the owner or any lending agency making a loan on the referenced property in connection with either the examination of the on-site wastewater system or this report.
