Little Texas, 0111 South Little Texas Lane, Woody Creek. Colorado Dear Ms. Hart: As requested by Dave Powell, Hepworth-Pawlak Geotechnical. Inc. performed percolation testing, at the subject site. The work was done in accordance with our agreement for professional services to you dated August 28, 1998. At the time of our site visit on September 1. 1998. a profile pit and three shallow backhoe pits had been excavated at the locations shown on Fig. 1. Test holes (nominal 12 inch diameter and 12 itches deep) were dug in the bottom of the shallow backhoe pits and soaked with water. 'Tice soils exposed in the profile pit consisted of about 1 foot of topsoil overlying sandy gravel with cobbles and small boulders to the pit depot of 5 feet. The profile pit. appeared to be about 2 to 3 feet lower in elevation than the percolation pits. Free water was observed in the profile pit at a depth of 42 inches from 3y the ground surface. Percolation testing was performed on September 2, 1998. The test results are presented on 'fable I. The test results varied from 20 to 51 minutes per inch with an average percolation rate of 32 minutes per inch. If you have airy questions or meed further assistance, please call.
