She stated that she would only be in town until this Friday, and would probably not have any time to do anything about the sewage disposal system. The house has been vacant for most of the summer. I told her it was mandatory that a system be installed. I noticed that there was a Jet tank installed, but there was no leach field for that tank. I explained the permit procedure, and said that the problem would have to be resolved by November 15. He was complaining first, about the location of Bob Mayo's sewage disposal system ,I A, ,? for the house that he's constructing,`a4A then about sewage disposal systems in general, in Brush Creek. Finally ,I we discussed the wells. Some have gone dry, and they are concerned about contrkamination of the others. I later called Ken Wyrick back after talking to Bob about the Mayo system. I reminded hiss that he and his wife (Nancy Wyrick) have an ungpproved sewage disposal system. They never called for a final inspection. Nancy Wyrick indicated that the Jet aeration system was put in but for some reason the electrical connections either were not made, or were made and then broken, as the system is not now in operation. The leaching field was installed but not backfilled because of the weather conditions. Therefore, it is apparently standing full of sewage and snow. I reminded them of the necessity for a final inspection and that if they are looking for problems in Brush Creek, perhaps they should check their own backyard first. I lasft a notice of disapproval. I recommended, 1) the lid for the Jet tank be replaced, as it is broken in tt(lc) and extend it to grade so that air can get into it, 2) The sewer and effluent lines need to be checked before being covered. I asked to be called when this is done. LETTER TO FOLLOW: ( ) OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS: DATE: 6T4 , 19—,F5_. I have some reservations about the installation of the tank at this point. The first is that the lid on the top of the tank has been broken. Also it is approximately a foot below the grade right now 'with the fill they've placed in the area around the tank. The third reservation is that the mttor for the Jet aerttion compartment is wired directly on a 20 amp breaker which will cause the motor to burn up should it become unbalanced with an accumulation of hair, mop strings, and the like, around the prop shaft. I suggested that she call the distributor for Industrial Denver, Jack Jacobson, and obtain a new lid, one more riser to bring it to surface, arid a timing clock which contains a 7 amp breaker that will cut the motor of before it burns up. I'll take another look at the tank when those three items are corrected. We have since heard nothing about the progress of this system, and it now appears a structure on this lot is occupied. It is imperative that you contact this Department so that we may determine what arrangements have been made to treat and dispose of household sewage as required by state law, and county regulations. ,Please contact this office at 925-4366.
