Dear Bob,
This is just a note of thanks for your help with
regard to the house which Noelle and I bought on Woody
Creek, I apologize for barging in on your and also
asking 'for so much of your time. Needless to say,
however, you were of invaluable assistance with your
advice.' As you probably already know, we are going
to change out the clivus multrum because of your
advice. In addition, we have ended up getting a water
purification system because of your advice also. The
main purpose of this note, however, is just to thank
you for your help and time.
Looking forward to seeing you in Aspen.
Sincerely yours,
e

Re: Residence at the Upper Woody Creek Bridge
Dear Jim:
After a preliminary review of the plans of Flood & Flood
Engineering for replacement of the composting toilet with a
mounded onsite wastewater disposal system, this department finds
that the general concept complies with the Pitkin County Individual
Sewage Disposal Regulations and could be permitted if additional
technical information is supplied and a permit application is
filed.
In his letter of August 24, 1984, Jim Flood mentioned the
general concept of elevating the gravel bed of the system four
feet above grade and using a pump to lift the septic tank effluent
uphill. This is a relatively mmon method of providing a soil
layer to filter the wastewater !fore it reaches a water table or
surface stream, and has proves_ successful in numerous sewage
disposal installations in the county. Should you or your client
have any further questions regarding this lot or other possible
alternatives for sewage disposal systems, please do not hesitate
to call us.
