As requested, ALL SERVICE septic, LLC performed an onsite wastewater treatment system (OWTS)
evaluation on February 18th 2009 for the subject property. The homeowner is proposing to add a
bedroom to the residence to bring the total number of bedrooms to three.
The subject property is located in W/J Ranch Subdivision, Pitkin County, Colorado, outside of the
town of Woody Creek. The subject OWTS consists of a concrete septic tank and a `drywell drain
field. Pitkin County has no record of OWTS construction.
OBSERVATIONS and EVALUATION
B and R Septic Services used a camera and locator to help evaluate the construction, the size, and the
layout of the OWTS. The subject OWTS consists of a 1250 -gallon, two-compartment concrete septic
tank with PVC inlet and outlet tees. The tank was last pumped in the fall of 2008. The drain field
consists of approximate 6 -ft diameter concrete perforated rings that are 12 -ft in depth. Gravel was
placed around the concrete rings prior to backfill.
We collected a soil sample in the vicinity of the `drywell' to evaluate the type of soil at the subject
site. The gradation analysis is attached. The soil is a clean sandy loam, which has indicates an
application rate of 1.3 gals/SF/day.
The `drywell' has an approximate effective infiltrative area of 600 SF and a daily storage capacity of
approximately 1000 gallons.
RECOMMEDATIONS AND/OR CONCLUSIONS
1. The current septic tank is in good condition and has adequate capacity to serve three
bedrooms.
2. The `Drywell' was observed and was completely empty and has adequate infiltrative
area and storage capacity to serve 3 -bedrooms.

This evaluation is not a guarantee of any future drain field performance, in any way. ALL
SERVICE septic, LLC evaluated the OWS on Feh 154 and has no further knowledge of use and/or
performance, and/or any changes.
