The system is designed to serve two residences. This permit is for the connection of the Elliot Residence to the system. The Yeary Residence was permitted under Permit # 01082 issued 11/15/01. Any changes must be approved by this department and the design engineer prior to them being made. Requirements in Section 4-20 of Pitkin County ISDS Regulations must be met and must be in accordance to Resolution #99-34 for Experimental Drip Irrigation Systems. If approval takes longer than 6 hours, a rate of $65 per hour will be charged. The maximum fee is $1000. The basic fee of $330 is due at the time of application. The remainder, if any, will be due in two stages: first, at the time of issuance of the ISDS permit; second, before final approval of the ISDS permit. Application for an individual sewage disposal system is hereby submitted. The latest site visit occurred on June 3, 2004. The system was designed under our Job No. 13288W, dated October 1, 2001. At the Yeary Residence, the installation of a 1000 -gallon, two-compartment, concrete septic tank with an effluent filter on the outlet at the 4 -bedroom. At the Elliot residence, there is a 1000 -gallon, two- compartment, concrete septic tank with dual effluent pumps in a Biotube® pump vault in the second compartment pumping to a second 1000 -gallon, two-compartment, concrete septic tank with dual effluent pumps in a Biotube® pump vault in the second compartment at the 5 -bedroom Elliot residence. Effluent from both residences flows to an AdvanTex® secondary treatment system. Installation ofthe AdvanTex® treatment system consisted of two 2000 -gallon, single -compartment, concrete recirculation tanks with dual pumps in a Biotube® pump vault, an automatic distributing valve, four AdvanTex® AX -20 packed bed filter pods, and a 100 -gallon, concrete lift station with dual pumps in a Biotube® pump vault. Drain field installation consisted of 6480 ft2 of drip irrigation drain field in six 12 -foot by 90 -foot sections. An as -built drawing has been included as Figure 1. The components of the OWS design were installed in conformance with our plans and specifications. The construction foreman may activate the pumping system at his discretion.
