Contractor's Obligations. Contractor shall complete the following. 1 1 Wildlife Surveys Colorado Wildlife Science(CWS)will conduct wildlife surveys of the Filoha Meadows Nature Preserve. These surveys will include avian point transects at a two-year monitoring interval, a quick assessment of the ecological condition and function of the Preserve, GIS mapping, and preparation of an annual report. AN.ian surveys will be conducted using point transects following the OST protocol. The effort will monitor point transects previously established by CWS in 2001. CWS will contribute to the Quick Assessment by contributing information regarding the current condition of wildlife habitat on the property, evaluating and describing the effectiveness of current habitat management efforts (with attention to previously identified MIS), and meeting with Colorado Parks and Wildlife CPW to elicit management effectiveness in meeting the agency's goals regarding species of CPW concern such as bighorn sheep and Townsend's big-eared bats. See attached cost estimate $6,260 00 1 Contract#: 117.2017 1.2 Vegetation Contractor staff,Rea Orthner will visit Filoha Meadows to conduct a quick assessment of the riparian habitat,compile a plant species list,visit sensitive plant species habitat,and map and describe noxious weeds.A technical report summarizing the field survey will be completed and will include recommendations for future quantitative monitoring and protection of ecologically sensitive areas. See attached cost estimate.$6.525.00 1.3 Project management The Contractor Project Director,David Johnson will work with Pitkin County and the project team to: Work with the project team and Pitkin County to prepare Scopes of Work,Cost Estimates and Timelines for vegetation and wildlife surveys designed to achieve the management actions of the Filoha Meadows Nature Preserve Management Plan(2008). Work with the project team and Pitkin County to modify the scopes of work,cost estimates and timelines when necessary. Identify the project team members or individual best qualified to complete each Filoha Meadows Nature Preserve project. Coordinate and manage the project team through the duration of their studies.Monitor the progress of each Filoha Meadows Nature Preserve project to verify that it complies with the scope of work in the task order, is on time and within budget. Review and edit technical studies and provide editorial, graphic or other support where needed. See attached cost estimate.$2,025.00 2. Compensation and Expenses, Invoicing, Payment and Offset. The County shall compensate Contractor for its services in accordance with the Project Budget and Schedule set out in Paragraph 1 of this Task Order. It is expressly understood and agreed that in no event will the total compensation and reimbursement to be paid hereunder exceed the sum of$14,810.00 for all services rendered. By Task Order or Task Order Amendment, the County and Contractor may reallocate the budget among project tasks if the total budget amount remains unchanged. Contractor shall invoice for the project monthly based on hours worked, with payment expected within thirty (30) days of invoice, but any payment by the County may be offset by any amount the Contractor owes the County for any reason. 3. Pitkin County's Obligations. Pitkin County shall administer this contract through a County Representative. Gary Tennenbaum will manage the project as the County's Representative. The services provided and products delivered by the Contractor under this contract will be subject to review by the County's Representatives,or a designee, for compliance with Contractor's obligations prior to final payment. 4. Formation of Task Order. This Task Order is issued in accordance with the provisions of the Agreement. Contractor agrees to provide services subject to the terms of this Task Order and for the avoidance of doubt this Task Order consists of the terms set out in the Agreement.
