The tests were performed on July 29, 1999. The findings of our work are presented in this report. Percolation testing was performed for the previous lot owner and recommendations provided in a report dated December 22, 1995, Job No. 195 515. An 8 foot deep profile pit and four shallow percolation test pits were excavated by Earth Works Construction. Hand dug holes were located at the bottom of the shallow pits and soaked on July 28, 1999. The percolation tests were performed on July 29, 1999. The soils exposed in the profile pit below about 2 feet of topsoil consist of clayey sandy gravel with small cobbles. No free water was encountered. The results of a gradation analysis performed on a sample (minus 6 inch fraction) obtained from the profile pit are presented on Fig. 1. The results of percolation tests conducted at the site are presented in Table I. The percolation rates averaged about 20 minutes per inch. Based on our findings, the tested site is suitable for a conventional infiltration septic disposal system. If we can be of further assistance, please call our office.
