This property already has two tanks: a 1,000 gallon that serves one portion of the house and a 1250 gallon that serves a second portion of the house. Due to a remodel the 1250 gallon tank is to be relocated. Any changes must be approved by this department prior to them being made. A minimum 1250 gallon two-compartment concrete tank is required. Pitkin County regulations require an effluent filter on the outlet of the new tank. Minimum horizontal distances between components of the system and physical features shall conform to the Pitkin County ISDS regulations. This department does not endorse any brand of products. This department must also be called for an inspection with a minimum of 48 hours advanced notice. If approval takes longer than 6 hours, a rate of $65 per hour will be charged. The maximum fee is $1000. The basic fee of $330 is due at the time of application. The remairder, if any, will be due in two stages: first, at the time of issuance of the ISDS permit; second, before final approval of the ISDS permit. Application for an individual sewage disposal system is hereby submitted.
