He wasn't happy with any of the PE's responses to trying to verify if field and tank were OK. He is very convinced that RotoRooter is the one who should do it. I said I wasn't sure if it was our policy to get the PE to do it or not. I said he could have rotorooter come, but the information had to be thorough and satisfacory. Hopefully I didn't overstep any lines there. He is also wondering about the status of the bldg permit. I told him according to the computer it was stopped at us and had yet to be approved by zoning and plan check. I didn't see the actual permit, so I didn't send it on yet. He is not telling me the same thing as you heard. I told him a long time ago to fax us floor plans so we can figure out quickly and for good if it needs to be sized for 2 or 3 bedrooms. He called it a pottery studio of bedroom size and said jessie's own daughter told her mom someone would use it as a bedroom. I also told him he needs new soils tests, as there are none in the file, just a # of 27, and we make everyone else do more if there aren't 3 holes, deep enough profile hole, etc. i TOLD Kehoe there are issues with setbacks as well if he doesn't just rebuild but adds a 3rd potential bedroom. I thought we had made people before putting a new house where an old one had been, eg. a trailer... that they had to comply with today's regulations, so I thought we needed them to make sure the existing system is functioning and hasn't failed, so that's what I told Kehoe. However, I told him before he did anything to get us the floor plans so we'd know what we're talking about. Today he hadn't been planning to send floor plans and hasn't gotten perc tests scheduled. He agreed to get us floor plans and tell us when he's got perc tests scheduled. Then NANCY can decide if it's ok to let them submit building plans with a design that's conservative (35-40 mpi instead of bob's no-perc-hole 27) with the condition that if soils tests show worse soil, they'll have to redesign. NOW, I HAVE AN IDEA TO RUN BY EVERYONE AFTER YOU ALL READ BOTH THESE LONG EMAILS. I THINK TOM AND I SHOULD FORWARD OUR PHONES TO KAREN. THEN NONE OF THESE PEOPLE WILL GET US AND THE PERSON WHOSE AREA IT IS IN WILL BE THE ONLY ONE TO TALK TO THEM AND THEY WONT SHOP AROUND. WHAT DOES EVERYONE THINK? They have a 1976 system for 2 bedrooms. The house will have a master bedroom, office/guest room, and pottery studio. He informed me the owner will move to Carbondale if she's told her isds has to be sized for the pottery studio. I explained I had a lot of sympathy for her and would do everything I could to help her, but that our mission was to protect the water and a future owner would not be a 76 -year old single woman with a pottery studio. I said we needed 2 things: 1) floor plans, 2) that no matter what/how many rooms, they need an RPE to assess the system & figure out how well it's working. I told him they're backed up and he needs to get that scheduled asap - that even if they dont need to add to it, we need to make sure it's functioning.
