The owner's representative, Rick McLain, could not recall the HICO drawing or where that information might have come from. Rick was the owner's rep during the CDU project and had marked up a septic plan with his "as -built" dimensions at that time. Rick dug up the tank access lid yesterday and it was exactly where his drawing showed it, so I am giving you a copy of a portion of the drawing that he marked up at the time of construction for your file. We were able to confirm the tank location, the clean-out location, and the approximate location of the leach field, and Rick had roughly located the waste line routing from the tank to the leach field, so I transcribed all of that onto a drawing showing the septic improvements and the proposed garage. I believe that we will have suitable, although minimal, clearances from the septic system to the new building foundations, but have noted the need for construction fencing to protect the tank and line, and a prohibition against trucks driving in that area. If this meets with your approval, I would appreciate your contacting Vicki Monge in the appropriate way ASAP and letting her know that Environmental Health can sign off on the plan since we are not installing any new waste lines or water fixtures and will protect the existing improvements during the garage construction.
