Sewage Disposal Regulations, effective April 15, 2003, the absorption area was calculated using the following equation: A = Q(V-5) 5 Where, A = absorption area in square feet Q = estimated design flow equal to 175% of average darty sewage flow in gallons per day t = soil percolation rate in mniutes per inch An estimated average daily sewage flow of 100 gallons per day per person was used for the five bedroom residence which is less than 6,000 square feet in size. It is assumed that there are two (2) people per bedroom. The calculated design flow is 175% of the average darty flows which was calculated as follows: Q = (100)(5)(2)(1.75) = 1,750 gallons per day The absorption area size was calculated using an average percolation rate of 53 minutes per inch and a design flow of 1,750 gallons per day as follows: A = 1,750 (53)05 z 2548 square feet 5 Therefore, a semi -mounded absorption area which is 25 feet wide and 102 feet long, totaling 2,550 square feet will be used. Tlie Study was conducted in accordance with our agreement for geotec1mica.l cngincering services to you dated June 1, 2005. The data obtained and our r-ecommenclations based on the proposed construction and subsurface conditions encountered are presented in this report. Evaluation of potential geologic .hazard impacts on the site are beyond the scope of this study. Proposed Co>tlstl-aetion: The proposed residence will lie a two story wood frame or R pai,el construction, Ground floors are proposed to be slab -mi -grade. The site is shown is shown on Figure 1. Cut depths are expected _to range between about 2 to 4 feet. Foundation loadings for this type ofcollstructio.n are assumed to be relatively light and typical of the proposed type of construction. The septic disposal 5ystenl is proposed to be, located east of the residence. 'l'here is about 2 feet of elevation difference across the building area. An irrigation ditch crosses throurb the Site uphill and adjacent. to the building area.
