Dear Brian:
At the request of J. Fredrick and Patricia Pier,this office conducted
an inspection of the sewage disposal system for the referenced property.
At the time -of inspection the system was functioning properly: Enclosed
is the copy of the completed Pitkin County individual sewage disposal
permit for the system. It should be noted that this particular system
relies on an aerated treatment plant for satisfactory operation. The
manufacturer of this plant provides a 2 year service contract with the
initial sale, and we recommend that the prospective purchaser explore
the possibility of extending this contract and becoming familiar with
the operation of the aerated treatment plant.
The Little Elk Creek Subdivision is supplied by a community water system
owned and maintained by the Homeowner's Association.— A copy of the
Colorado Department of Health inspection conducted on July 6, 1978 is
enclosed. This particular survey revealed no significant violations
of the primary drinking water regulations. In addition, a water sample
was collected on September 6, 1978, and analyzed for bacteriological
quality at the Colorado Department of Health laboratory (lab no. 1450 and
1451), and found satisfactory. If you have any questions, please feel
