Bob Nelson with the Pitkin County Environmental Health department, Don Gram with Western Heritage Log Company, and myself reviewed the system. The inspection covered all phases of the design and installation and the two previous punch. lists, dated June 22, 1988 and August 3, 1988. All items were found to be complete and the system was given Final Approval for operation by McLaughlin Water Engineers and the Pitkin County Environmental Health Department. Bob Nelson gave permission at the inspection to remove the air vents from the septic field. Don was asked to cut the vents off and add clean out caps for future inspection. The caps are to be buried below the surface and protection and locating devices installed over them.
