M.), numbered as 01$9 Chateau Way Dear David, As requested, Nelscm EnvironMental and Wastewater Solutions, Ltd., performed a soils study and percolation tests on the subject property to design a septic system for the proposed residence. We conducted this study according to Section 5-1 through 5-5 of Pitkin CONS" tndivi&W (Revised, May 1995) on June 14, 1995. We have based our recommendations on the subsurface conditions encountered. We will furnish this letter to the Aspen/Pitkin Envirwmantal Health DepartMent at our earliest opportunity so that you may obtain a permit to Mutnict this sewage rystem. The planned residence is a two bedroom, two and one-half bathroom, two-story game house with a garden kvd finished basemcea. There are also two studio area specified in the plans. The total living area of the house is calculated to be approximately 3150 square feet. The property is to be served by a drilled well domestic water supply in place, but not yet developed. The subaurfim soil conditions were evaluated with the standard percolation test procedures at the approximate location shown on Figure 1 and Inset A. The subsoil, in which the percolation testing was done, ,consisted of a clay loam. These soils were moist and well consolidated, and showed Inde tendency to swell. The conclusions and recommendations submitted in this report are based upon data obtained from our site visits at the location indicated.
