At the time of my visit, the trenches were ready to be fackfilled and the septic and dosing tank had been placed. George Fields, the contractor, was preparing to excavate for the 2" line that runs from the dosing tank to the leachfield. As you and I agreed in our phone conversation yesterday, it would be acceptable to replace the 2" U.I.P. with a continuous section of P.E. pipe 50 feet each side of the well to avoid having any pipe joints in the area of the well. Mr. Fields had purchased this pipe and had it on the job site at the time of my visit. Please note that I instructed t1r. Fields to use extreme caution in bedding and back- filling this pipe. The pump and appurtenances had not been installed. I informed the owner that I would stop by after this work was completed and check the installation. In summary, all work completed at the time of my site visit appeared to have been done in accordance with the plans prepared by our office. All materials, installation practices, setback requirements, etc. .shall conform to the Pitkin County Individual Sewage Disposal System Regulations. 2. The 2" feeder line which runs from the dosing tank to the leachfield shall (1) have a 5 1/2" depth of bury from the dosing tank to the highest point on the line (2) be sloped to drain from the'high point into the leachfield. 3. The owner shall be responsible for placement of all improvements shown on these plans to assure that these improvements do not encroach on any easements of record. 4. The location..of the trenches shown on the general plan is only approxi- mate. The actual location of these trenches shall be adjusted in the field so that they run parallel with the ground contour in the area. In no case shall the trenches be closer than 10' on center or encroach on any easement. 5. The engineer and Pitkin County shall be notified when construction corimences and be kept abreast of the construction progress so that sufficient inspection can be performed to assure conformance with these plans.
